| Description: | Exciting opportunity for strong nurse leader to manage out-patient endoscopy center. The Clinical Nurse Manager will be responsible for the executive direction of nursing services in the Center • Reports to the Medical Director • Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, visitors, physicians and their office staffs, employees and monitor patient/family feedback • Maintaining credentials for providers privileged at the center • Maintaining state license • Ensure compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies AAAHC, CMS and State surveys • DEA and CLIA certifications • Infection control/Safety Officer • Risk Management • Quality Improvement/Control • Serving, along with any committee appointed for the purpose, as a liaison between the Governing Board, the Medical Staff, and all departments of the Center • Collaborate with the Medical Director in the review and revision of the Medical Staff Bylaws, Rules, and Regulations on a biannual basis • Patient/family feedback • Managing staff and overtime, and cost containment of supplies and equipment, including developing, monitoring and controlling the staffing needs, operations budget, and capital budget to ensure success • Effectively manage multiple and at times conflicting priorities • Demonstrate and promote professional growth and development • Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others • Hold at least one monthly staff meeting outlining goals and priorities of the Center • Evaluate and review employee performance ensuring that reviews occur as scheduled or at least annually for each employee • Review and approve the disciplinary action and/or discharge of employees • Oversee orientation of new employees and annual OSHA/Infection control training • Manage clinical departments of nursing, housekeeping, supervise the contracted services, pharmaceuticals, laundry and biomedical engineering • Ensure that the Center is clean, neat professional, well maintained, and conveys a feeling of confidence to our patients, their families, and our physician customers • Monitor the adequate function of surgical equipment and patient care equipment through contracted services and follow-up on repairs • Negotiate and control all external contracts, such as those with physicians, ancillary services, plant maintenance and purchasing agreements • Promote a physical plant that is safe and aesthetically appealing • Act in accordance with the vision, mission and business philosophy of the Center • Promote staff education | |
| Requirements: | • Active NC nursing license • Bachelors degree preferred • Current ACLS/BLS certifications • Two years experience in an endoscopy unit/center • Management experience of AEC/ASC • Extensive knowledge of SGNA, ASGE standards, infection control and risk management • Knowledge of endoscopy procedure equipment • In depth working knowledge of regulatory, licensing, certification and credentialing for AAAHC, CMS, DEA, state licensing and data reporting • Interpersonal skills with patients, staff, physicians and others • Leadership skills in supervision and delegation • Written and verbal communication skills | |
